Nacascolo is a small but beautiful beach of white sands and crystal blue waters, surrounded by lush tropical dry forest vegetation, which provides a pleasant shade along its coast, it’s located in the Gulf of Papagayo in the province of Guanacaste, with easy access all year round.
Nacascolo Beach enjoys great water supply with a spectacular mangrove, a stream and to the south side visitors can admire a small stream that complements its paradise beach natural surroundings. Thanks to the fact that it’s inside the Four Seasons Hotel, it has facilities and services for visitors. For this and more Nacascolo beach is ideal to relax and enjoy a swim in its waters with its gentle waves, plus it’s a great place for diving, snorkeling and more water sports.
Getting to Nacascolo Beach in Guanacaste:
From San José
Drive north to Puntarenas and then follow the Pan-American highway until you reach Liberia. There, turn right, continue for 8 km (5 miles), turn right at the DO IT Center towards the Four Seasons Hotel and follow the road for about 24 km (15 miles) until you reach the visitors parking lot of the hotel. To get to Nacascolo beach, you need to take a private hotel bus to take you to the beach entrance. This route requires a total of 5 to 6 hours from San José.
From Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR)
Drive south to Santa Cruz for 8 km (5 miles), turn right at the DO IT Center towards the Four Seasons Hotel and follow the road for about 24 km (15 miles) until you reach the visitors parking lot of the hotel. To get to Nacascolo beach, you need to take a private hotel bus to take you to the beach entrance.
BY BUS
There are no buses that comes to Nacascolo beach, however you can take a bus from the route San José – Liberia, which takes about 5 hours (Pulmitan, +506 2222-1650) and then you can rent a car and drive or take a taxi to Nacascolo beach, which takes about 40 minutes. We recommend buying the ticket the day before to ensure your space.
BY PLANE
You can also take a flight from the Juan Santamaria Airport to the Daniel Oduber airport at Liberia, either with Sansa or Aerobell Airlines every day. From here you can rent a car and drive or take a taxi to Nacascolo beach, which takes about 40 minutes.
